A: The closest airport is Juan Santamaria in San Jose (airport code SJO), which is about an 1 1/2 drive from the beach house.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: To secure your vacation dates, we request $100 refundable deposit along with a signed rental agreement. We will email you the rental agreement and request that the check be mailed out within seven days, while we hold your vacation dates. You can review the rental agreement by clicking on the link on the rates and contract page.
Q: Can I rent the beach house by the day?
A: Yes, we rent the beach house by the day, week or month.
Q: Where is the beach house?
A: The beach house is in the Central Pacific region of Costa Rica on Playa Hermosa, just five minutes from Jaco. The beach house is in front of the surf break "Almond Tree".
Q: Do I need to rent a car?
A: It is your choice. Some of our guests rent a car in San Jose and drive to the beach house. Others prefer a car service to drive them to Hermosa and then rent a car in Jaco. Some guests use cabs for transporation. A cab drive into Jaco is about $5. A transfer from San Jose airport for two people is about $65.
Q: Are there restaurants and bars on Hermosa Beach?
A: Yes, there are several good restaurants and bars in walking distance from the beach house.
Q: Is it safe at Hermosa Bungalows?
A: Yes, the property is gated and we also have property managers living on-site. In addition we after night security guards.
Q: Do I need to take an adapter?
A: No, the outlets are the same as the United States.
Q: Is there a grocery store in the area?
A: Yes, there several grocery stores in Jaco. Mas X Menos and Maxi Bodega offer everything you can think of. Victor the local fisherman comes to the bungalow in the evenings to sell his catch of the day.
Q: What forms of payment do we accept?
A: We accept checks, money orders and credit cards. Credit cards are accepted through Paypal. There is a 3% fee.
